Cellulose insulation

Loose-fill insulation that breathes.

Cellulose fibre from recovered paper, treated to resist fire, blown or laid by hand into floors, attics, roof spaces and timber-frame walls. Thermal and acoustic insulation in one material, with no off-cuts.

How it’s installed

Eco Insulation Fiber arrives compacted to three to five times its installed density, so it is loosened first. Laid by hand, it is loosened in a large container with simple tools, then spread over floors and ceilings or poured into the cavities of timber-frame walls and ceilings. It can also be blown in by machine.

Keeping the installed density is what matters most:

Installed density
Horizontal structures35–40 kg/m³
Vertical structures60–70 kg/m³

Application

A natural, breathable thermal insulation made from cellulose fibre recovered from waste paper, for anyone who wants to insulate with natural materials. It keeps a healthy indoor climate and performs well ecologically. Eco Insulation Fiber insulates industrial buildings against heat and interiors against sound, and is widely used in kindergartens, schools and medical buildings.

It goes into walls, internal partitions, attic and roof spaces, roof structures and floors on timber frames. It cannot go under plaster: it is a loose material and needs a free cavity to fill.
